Craps Rules
Craps is the famously exciting casino dice game that offers the
best odds and the least amount of a house edge that a gambler
can find. Craps also offers virtually unlimited options, gambling
strategies, and games within the game that make it one of the
most popular forms of gambling and a preferred game of choice
with many professional gamblers.
Craps begins with the “come out” roll in which the
shooter wins immediately with a roll of two dice that totals the
score of seven or eleven. An automatic loss is two, three or twelve,
which is known as “craps.” The seven or eleven roll
is known as a “win” or “natural.” All
of the other numbers, (four, five, six, eight, nine, or ten),
are known as “point” numbers. After the point is established
with the come out roll, the shooter must hit his point BEFORE
the dreaded seven is rolled. If the shooter rolls his point, the
round ends and a new one begins with the same shooter who will
have another come out roll. If the seven is rolled the shooter
loses and relinquishes the dice to another gambler for a new round.
That is the start of how to explain this great game but there
are far more gambling options than what immediately meets the
eye. The other gamblers at the craps table can wager on whether
the shooter will win or lose, which is known commonly as “pass”
and “don’t pass” bets. Gamblers can also take
the “free odds” once the point is established to wager
on whether or not the shooter will make his point. Beyond that,
gamblers can bet on “hard” dice roll numbers as well
as odds, evens, and more!
